Pelosi waiting in line to receive Communion is akin to a murderer waiting in line to pay his respects to his victim at a Catholic wake.
At the top of the hit parade this week has been the courageous action of Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone who denied the Eucharist to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
Responding publicly for the first time to her archbishop barring her from Holy Communion in her home diocese, the U.S. House speaker remains defiant in her support of abortion.
There is not a single Church teaching on women, marriage, the family or sexuality that Pelosi accepts.
Cordileone’s letter to Pelosi, instructing her not to go to Communion, was not some impulsive act. He has tried to deal with her for many years, trying to bring her back into the fold, but she resists.

The fault lies with the news media that continually misrepresent the matter — and, even more, with Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi and the other prominent Catholic politicians who continue to scandalize the faithful by their Eucharistically incoherent support for legal abortion.
What was notably absent from the 26-page draft was any sort of criteria for when to deny a Catholic from receiving the Eucharist.
“The momentous task of prophetically proclaiming the Church’s position falls primarily to the bishops.”
Cordileone invited Catholics and everyone of good will to sign up for the “Rose and Rosary for Nancy” campaign at the website of the Benedict XVI Institute.
“When it comes to abortion, Pelosi has allowed the will of the world to matter more than the laws of God.”
Democrats wanted to run government on partisan basis, they can own the consequences.
Pelosi’s moral relativism places her outside the Catholic community.
“This proposed legislation is nothing short of child sacrifice,” Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone said in a Tuesday statement regarding the Women’s Health Protection Act (H.R. 3755).
“Abortion is more than an issue. Abortion is murder,” Pope Francis said.
Archbishop Cordileone draws a parallel between the abortion politics of today and the institutional racial discrimination that existed in the United States in the mid-20th century.
The left has a totalitarian impulse, and we see it every time the left controls the levers of power.
Does the US President’s open support for abortion mean that he should not receive Communion?
Archbishop Naumann of Kansas City is finally starting to lay down a few hammers.
Bishop McElroy decries use of abortion as a “litmus test” for proving whether someone is a faithful Catholic.
