Priests for Life, one of the nation’s leading pro-life organizations, is focusing resources, educational materials and voter training to mobilize pro-life voters throughout the country and especially in the states that have races for U.S. Senate.

“The U.S. Senate is currently split down the middle with 50 Republicans and 50 Democrats. The balance of power is likely to shift one way or another,” said Fr. Frank Pavone, National Director. “Voters need to nationalize the election, looking beyond their concerns about the candidates and the issues at play in their state, and considering that their vote will help determine the direction of the entire nation. Most believe our country is currently headed in the wrong direction. A change in the Senate is a big part of correcting that.”

At ProLifeVote.com, Priests for Life has a whole host of resources for those who want to make a difference in November, with particular focus on the issue of abortion. At that one-stop site visitors will find action items; invitations to voter training seminars; a social media toolbox; candidate information and party platforms, and a detailed list of what everyone can do to ensure we have fair elections and elect pro-life candidates.

A new party platform comparison is in the works as well. It will lay out the differences between the Republicans and Democrats on important topics like education, the environment, immigration, the economy, and the protection of the unborn.

“For many Americans, this election is not just about issues, but about freedom itself, about saving our nation,” Father Pavone said. “We agree, and we’re approaching the election with the vigor that such a situation deserves.”

Quote of the week

“When I shrink from suffering, Jesus reproves me and tells me that He did not refuse to suffer. Then I say ‘Jesus, Your will and not mine’. At last I am convinced that only God can make me happy, and in Him I have placed all my hope…”
