For interfaith coalition, end of Roe v. Wade is just the beginning

WASHINGTON, D.C.  – The Rev. Frank Pavone, President of the Pro-life Religious Council, released the following statement regarding the Supreme Court decision overturning Roe v. Wade.

“Yesterday was a day that we in the pro-life movement across the Body of Christ have been working for and looking forward to for some 50 years,” said Rev.  Pavone. “The National Pro-life Religious Council works for the protection of every unborn child at every stage of development. Now that the Court has cleared the way for lawmakers to do their job, we call upon them, across the nation, both at the state and federal level, to provide the maximum protection for these children.”

Rev. Pavone noted that the pro-life movement is the largest interdenominational coalition in the nation and that it will continue to work together to in all 50 states to end abortion and to help moms, dads and families.

“This victory is a milestone, and shows God’s faithfulness. This moment is the culmination of countless prayers and sacrifices over these last five decades. Celebrating this victory will renew and strengthen us to move forward to the ultimate victory of full protection for these children,” Rev. Pavone concluded.
