At a press conference this morning at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C., Father Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, called on the U.S. Supreme Court to reverse its 1973 Roe v. Wade decision that legalized abortion throughout the nation and through all nine months of pregnancy.
Calling Roe v. Wade “a chorus of confusion,” and “a conclusion in search of a rationale,” Father Pavone said oral arguments in the Mississippi abortion case Dobbs vs. Jackson Women’s Health Organization could be the “necessary, critical and monumental first step” for the pro-life movement to accomplish its goal of protecting human beings in the first nine months of their lives.
“Let’s stop giving abortion a constitutional status that no other medical procedure has,” he said.
