Pro-lifers all over the country will gather tomorrow to remember the children killed by abortion in our country. The National Day of Remembrance for Aborted Children was founded in 2013 by Priests for Life, the Pro-Life Action League and Citizens for a Pro-Life Society as a way to honor and memorialize the precious lives lost to abortion every year.

Father Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, said: “People will gather at dozens of burial sites for these children, and at hundreds of other memorial sites across the country.

“At, those wishing to take part in the prayerful, peaceful event will be able to find sites in all 50 states. Those who cannot attend a memorial are urged to pray for these innocent children.

“Too often, abortion is dealt with in purely conceptual, philosophical, or theological terms; but it’s about real bloodshed, real victims,” Father Pavone continued. “More than 62 million American children have lost their lives to abortion since 1973. They deserve to be remembered. They deserve our prayers.

“And they also deserve our public witness. The services we hold should be publicized far and wide, with as much media attention as possible. When these babies are killed, and their holy bodies are desecrated by the abortion industry, it is done in secrecy and silence. We, therefore, who honor them, bury them, acknowledge them as our brothers and sisters, and pray for them, do so in the open light of day. We are proud to stand with them and tell the world they have infinite value,” Father Pavone concluded.
