According to President Donald Trump, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals is a “total disaster” and “has a horrible reputation.” He cites a rate of overturned rulings at 79% but Fox News reports that the Sixth Circuit actually has a worse record.
Is the Ninth Circuit really a “total disaster” with a “horrible reputation?” Yes.
I have heard in pro-life circles for decades about the Ninth Circuit being a haven for liberals seeking horrible decisions on abortion. If you, like me, consider abortion to be a holocaust, then you must agree that the Ninth Circuit, which notoriously upholds a pro-abortion position, is a “total disaster” with a “horrible reputation.” The court even ruled that pro-life pregnancy centers must promote abortion. They rejected pro-life groups’ attempt to have Planned Parenthood’s lawsuit against undercover videos tossed out. The videos depicted Planned Parenthood employees engaged in the selling of fetal tissue.
Any court which allows abortion to continue unchecked in the United States of America is a “total disaster” and certainly has a “horrible reputation” among pro-lifers like Donald Trump. What is shocking here is not Trump’s tweets on the matter. Rather it is shocking to imply that a significant amount of people would view such behavior by a court to be “justice.”
