WASHINGTON, D.C. — Father Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, signed on to a letter from conservative leaders that calls on the Senate to work 24 hours a day, if necessary, to get federal judges and other appointees confirmed before the 115thCongress concludes.

The letter from the Conservative Action Project called on Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and all Republican senators to keep the Senate in session until all judicial and executive nominees have been confirmed.

“These nominees are critical for the integrity of the judiciary, but also critical to ensuring that executive branch agencies are fully implementing President Trump’s agenda. From the courts to the agencies, President Trump needs nominees committed to his stated policy goals,” the letter stated.

Signatories included former Attorney General Edwin Meese; former South Carolina Sen. Jim DeMint; Conservative Action Project Chairman Alfred Regnery and many other conservative and pro-life leaders.

Quote of the week

“When I shrink from suffering, Jesus reproves me and tells me that He did not refuse to suffer. Then I say ‘Jesus, Your will and not mine’. At last I am convinced that only God can make me happy, and in Him I have placed all my hope…”
