HANOVER, Penn., Nov. 12, 2025 /Christian Newswire/ — In a public display of honor and respect, Americans across the country held 1,242 simultaneous rosary rallies this weekend to pray for and thank the police for all they do. Organized through America Needs Fatima, these rallies were held at police stations, courthouses, and other busy, public locations visible to those serving in law enforcement. Each rally was held under a banner of Saint Michael the Archangel, who fought for God against Satan and who is honored as the patron saint of police officers.

In America today, the police protect communities against countless forms of evil, including assaults, fraud, robberies, larceny thefts, human trafficking and homicide. They make millions of arrests each year, bringing the hand of justice to those who harm others, break laws and cause disorder. More than 24,000 officers have fallen in the line of duty over the past 100 years, giving their lives for the common good.

The police face constant negative publicity from those who misrepresent them and their actions. The media choose to focus on high-profile cases to judge all the police. Thus, some activists call for reducing, defunding and eliminate police departments.  Sadly, this false portrayal has only led to increases in crime and lawlessness.

“We were honored to join other prayer warriors across the country in praying in unison for our country and our brave police officers and all who serve to protect us during these confusing and dangerous times,” said Rebecca D. a rally captain from Springfield, Illinois.

“Like Saint Michael the Archangel, our police are the guardians of peace, the first line of defense against evil on earth,” said Robert E. Ritchie, executive director of America Needs Fatima. “Our rally captains bravely and publicly stood up for our police by holding these rosary rallies over the weekend. Many police officers and supporters joined them in a combined plea to God through Saint Michael for their protection. It was a beautiful sight to see.”

America Needs Fatima (www.ANF.org) is a campaign of the American Society for the Defense of Tradition, Family and Property. In addition to coordinating national public rosary rallies, ANF promotes the Fatima message and Catholic culture by bringing Our Lady of Fatima statue to private homes, organizing protests against blasphemies, and distributing millions of rosaries and devotional items.

Quote of the week

“When I shrink from suffering, Jesus reproves me and tells me that He did not refuse to suffer. Then I say ‘Jesus, Your will and not mine’. At last I am convinced that only God can make me happy, and in Him I have placed all my hope…”
St. Gemma Galgani
