Is Charlie Kirk a martyr? My friend Rick Santorum thinks so. It really depends on whether he was Catholic or not. He certainly preached the Gospel and was killed for it, but was he Catholic like his wife? I have heard on good authority that he was interested in the Catholic faith and that he was attending Mass regularly with his wife. We don’t know what was in his heart and we don’t know if any conversion transpired with the help of a priest. We may never know. But it’s worth considering. Click here for a recent article at National Catholic Register on what it takes to be a martyr today. Also, consider the following remarks he has made to Dr. Taylor Marshall publicly.
It’s worth debating.
