TITUSVILLE, FL — Priests for Life National Director Frank Pavone issued the following statement today after the Georgia Supreme Court reinstated the Heartbeat law, which protects babies in the womb once their heartbeat is detected.

“While the ruling is great news for the unborn and their mothers, it is not surprising,” Pavone said. “It is completely consistent with the Dobbs decision that overturned Roe v. Wade, and with what other state Supreme Courts have done since Dobbs.

“The bottom line is, if the people of a state and their legislators want to protect unborn babies, there is no constitutional reason why they shouldn’t be able to do so.”

Quote of the week

“When I shrink from suffering, Jesus reproves me and tells me that He did not refuse to suffer. Then I say ‘Jesus, Your will and not mine’. At last I am convinced that only God can make me happy, and in Him I have placed all my hope…”
