EMMITSBURG, Md., Sept. 11, 2025 /Christian Newswire/ — Despite a new administration, the FBI continues its record of gross incompetence. This time, notes veteran journalist Cliff Kincaid, it got a major proponent of MAGA — and a close friend of President Trump — killed.

In a new column, “The FBI Failed to Protect Charlie Kirk,” Kincaid cites the assassination as another example of corrupt government that fails to protect its citizens, just one day before the anniversary of another federal failure, the 9/11 terror attacks and the post-9/11 anthrax attacks (which are still unsolved, by the way).

Kincaid says, “We can remember the important contributions of Charlie Kirk to conservatism and Christianity but it is also important to hold the Trump Administration accountable for what has happened.”

If the FBI had been monitoring Antifa and Marxist groups, Kincaid argues that the murder could have been prevented. Incredibly, in a replay of the first attempted assassination of Trump, the sniper climbed on the roof of a nearby building and then climbed down after killing Charlie Kirk and fled. The assassin followed the same playbook as Thomas Crooks, the would-be assassin of President Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania. Once again, the feds were unprepared.

The night before Kirk’s murder, Kincaid noted, Marxists from Code Pink, a group linked to the Chinese Communist Party, infiltrated a dinner in Washington, D.C. that featured the president, the vice-president, and other high-level officials. The Marxists screamed “Trump is the Hitler of our time” but could easily have been armed with weapons or bombs. They were not arrested.

“President Trump could have been killed at that D.C. dinner. Charlie Kirk was assassinated and the FBI was nowhere to be found,” Kincaid said, until Kirk was dead.

Incredibly, FBI Director Kash Patel issued a statement about a subject being in custody, only to retract that.  The FBI is offering a reward of up to $100,000 for Information Leading to the identification, arrest of Individual(s) in the case.

“We are being bombarded with interviews of former FBI officials about how the Bureau will get its man,” Kincaid said. “That detracts from the failure to protect Kirk in the first place.”

“What happened cannot be blamed on Sleepy Joe and the autopen,” he added.

President Trump should be livid, Kincaid says. If Kash Patel cannot do the job, he should step down immediately or be fired, Kincaid concludes.
