LOS ANGELES (February 8, 2022) – The Parents Television and Media Council (PTC) has thrown out a challenge to the NFL ahead of Super Bowl LVI: resist the pressure to let the halftime show be anything but a show that parents will feel comfortable allowing their children to watch.

“The Super Bowl is generally the one annual show that families will gather together to watch, so nothing is more important than ensuring that the halftime show is safe for children. The audience shouldn’t have to hear profanity or witness any ‘wardrobe malfunctions.’ We call on the NFL and NBC not to fumble this key element of the Super Bowl,” said PTC President Tim Winter.

“The NFL is in possession of a winning strategy by having all of the right elements to make it safe for children to watch, now it just needs to execute.”

Quote of the week

“When I shrink from suffering, Jesus reproves me and tells me that He did not refuse to suffer. Then I say ‘Jesus, Your will and not mine’. At last I am convinced that only God can make me happy, and in Him I have placed all my hope…”
