Abortion Absolutist Xavier Becerra Confirmed as Secretary of HHS

WASHINGTON, DC— Catherine Glenn Foster, President & CEO of Americans United for Life, issued the following statement regarding the confirmation of Xavier Becerrafor the position of Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services:

America expected more from President Biden because he promised us more. The confirmation of Becerra to lead the Department of Health and Human Services is the latest sign that the Biden-Harris administration is not interested in compromise or unity, but instead is intent on pushing the most aggressive and extreme abortion agenda our nation has ever seen. Xavier Becerra, a career apologist for the billion-dollar abortion industry, will now be leading one of America’s most vital public health institutions. This disappointment will not stop Americans United for Life from advocating for the basic human rights of all Americans, especially the most vulnerable among us who are pre-born or facing the trauma of suicide by physician.
