TITUSVILLE, FL — Father Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, today thanked the governor, legislators and pro-life activists in Arkansas for their work on behalf of the unborn.
“By advocating for and passing a bill protecting almost every baby from abortion, Arkansas is letting the rest of the country know that in their state, at least, children in the womb have the same civil rights as every American citizen. By signing the bill into law, Gov. Asa Hutchinson is standing by his pro-life convictions,” Father Pavone said. “I applaud them all.”
Fr. Pavone was with Arkansas Sen. Jason Rapert (the Senate sponsor of the bill) the other day and made an online appeal to Gov. Hutchinson to sign it into law.
The bill would protect all babies from abortion except in cases where the life of the mother would be imperiled by the pregnancy. It could be enacted as early as this summer.
