Ouagadougou (Agenzia Fides) – In Burkina Faso, Fr. Rodrigue Sanon from the Notre Dame de la Paix parish in Soubakanyedougou, in the southwest of the country is missing. The priest disappeared on January 19 while traveling the road from Soubakaniedougou to Banfora, where he was expected by Bishop Lucas Kalfa Sanou of Banfora to meet the priests of the diocese. The priest never reached his destination.
Father Sanon’s car was found in Toumousséni, about twenty kilometers from his destination. But there was no trace of the priest himself.
Bishop Sanou asks anyone who knows anything to contact the police of Soubakanyedougou or the diocese and urged the faithful to pray that Fr. Sanon will soon return to his parish safe and sound.
