TITUSVILLE, FL — Father Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, has signed on to a letter supporting President Trump’s decision to withhold funding to the World Health Organization (WHO) while its actions concerning the outbreak of the Coronavirus in China is reviewed.

“As pointed out in the letter, the United States pays $450 million annually to an organization that has shown itself to be corrupt and inept in handling other deadly outbreaks, and the pattern persisted when the Coronavirus began its deadly march from China to the rest of the world,” Father Pavone said. “I am happy to add my name and to support the president’s resolve not to waste American tax dollars on an organization with that agenda.”

Father Pavone said the WHO also was among the organizations advocating for abortion as an “essential” medical service during the pandemic.

“Abortion is not medicine, as it cures no disease. It murders a human being,” Father Pavone said. “To stop the spread of this virus, national economies were ruined and entire populations locked down because we value human life more than commerce. The pro-abortion WHO overlooked the humanity of the unborn in its effort to keep abortion profiteers in business during the pandemic. Americans should not be asked to support this organization.”

Quote of the week

“When I shrink from suffering, Jesus reproves me and tells me that He did not refuse to suffer. Then I say ‘Jesus, Your will and not mine’. At last I am convinced that only God can make me happy, and in Him I have placed all my hope…”
St. Gemma Galgani
