TITUSVILLE, FL – Father Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, today congratulated Republican legislators in Illinois who are attempting to get rid of the state’s new law that declares abortion a fundamental right.
“Representatives Allen Skillicorn, Brad Holbrook, Amy Grant and Chris Miller are to be commended for working to overturn the terrible law that the delusional Democrat legislators and governor foisted on the people of Illinois,” Father Pavone said.
“A law calling abortion a fundamental right ignores the reality that the fundamental right is life. The Heartbeat Bill submitted by these legislators would protect unborn children from abortion once a heartbeat can be detected and restore conscience rights to those who refuse to take part in abortion. This bill is more in line with what legislators should be doing than a bill to advance child-killing.”
